Born in
Ohio and raised in the Southwest, Will Bullas is truly the "people's painter." He
started drawing seriously in Vietnam, where his work would brighten fellow
soldiers' days. Then, to introduce his art directly to his audience,
he went on a year-long trek
across the Mid and Southwest, taking his art to a continually growing
group of appreciative collectors. |
| A graduate of the Brooks Institute
of Fine Art in Santa Barbara, California, and a student of the renowned
instructor Ray Strong, Bullas has been lauded by both critics and peers. He
won the Strathmore Award at the 1981 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia
Exhibition, the William G. Morrison Award
from the Adirondacks Exhibition of American watercolors, and the First
Place Award at the 1990 signature Membership Exhibition of the National
Watercolor Society. Bullas is a proud member of both the American Watercolor Society
and the National Watercolor Society and continues to create watercolor one-liners that
make fine art fun. |

Will
Bullas has been publishing his one-liners as greeting cards with First
Impressions. It is reported that he produces at least one image
per day.
The images below have or will be done as porcelains for The
