The Greenwich Workshop Collection of Fine
Art Original Graphics introduces the work of one of the world's
foremost fantasy fine artists
as exclusive hand-pulled serigraphs which capture Christensen's vibrant
colors and exquisite detail. |

For the first
time, the popular and distinctive artwork of selected Greenwich
Workshop artists is available in a collection of
superlative original graphics published by The Greenwich Workshop, North
America's leading publisher of limited edition fine art prints
and created with the expertise of Gregory
Editions, the highly regarded leader in original graphics publishing.
Beginning in 1998, selected works by James C. Christensen, Paul
Landry and Kenneth Riley will be published as fine art original graphics, using classic,
hand-pulled lithography, serigraphy and mixed media--each technique carefully selected to
best complement the artists' original paintings.
Each artist will be closely involved with the
printmaking and will personally approve each phase of the process. The result will be very
exclusive editions and works of art with the vibrancy of color, detail and texture
characteristic of original graphics.

JAMES C. CHRISTENSEN
As a retired professor of art, Christensen
mingles the myths, legends and fables of the world with a masterful technique
that has made him one of
today's most renowned fantasy fine artsts who has something for everyone
in his "land
a little left of reality"--the boundless inner universe we all possess. "What
I want to achieve with my own world of art is to provide a point of deprture
for the
viewer's imagination," the artist explains. "You bring experiences
to the art and you can get something out of it . . . when you use your
imagination."
Christensen has been using his imagination since he was born in
1942. Since completing painting studies at Brigham young University, the University of
California and many places throughout this world (and others), Christensen has won all the
professional art honors the World Science Fiction Convention can bestow, as well as
multiple Chesley Awards from the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists.
He is a proud author as well, delighting in
creating stories to go with his unforgettable art. His first book, A Journey of the
Imagination: The Art of James Christensen, was published to great acclain in 1994.
His second, the adventure fantasy Voyage of the Basset, has more than 75,000
copies in print and is being prepared as a special-effect-filled television miniseries.
His third, the inventive Rhymes & Reasons, was published in May 1997.
